American Airlines review of Takashi Japanese restaurant in Sedona, Arizona

"This striking space is considered by many to be the ultimate Japanese dining experience in Red Rock country. If you are a sushi aficionado, this is the place to put your taste buds to the test. Hanging globe-shaped Japanese lanterns, striking Asian tapestries and bare-bones furnishings afford the dining room a Zen-like atmosphere. Patio dining is also available. Expertly prepared sushi is accompanied by teriyaki and tempura in addition to sukiyaki and teppan yaki dishes. Individual items are priced from USD2-20. Full bar service is available."

10 Best Travel Guides review of Takashi Japanese restaurant in Sedona, AZ

Category: Sedona, AZ: Best Dining and Restaurants: Asian - 10Best

"Adorned with Asian accents and peppered with paper lanterns, this open restaurant offers practically any Japanese dish imaginable. Patrons start off with edamame or soft-shell crabs, and then shift to sukiyaki, tempura, teriyaki, and teppan yaki main courses. Combination plates provide a taste of several different cooking styles, and sushi options include spicy tuna, California, and spider rolls. Sashimi can also be had, and outdoor dining is available."

Frommers review of Takashi Japanese restaurant

"A peaceful respite from the bustle of uptown Sedona though just steps away, Takashi soothes with soft-spoken service and a simple decor. Although it's a long way from the red rocks to the sea, we like to order the soft-shell crab appetizer and a selection of sushi (yellowtail, eel, and salmon in particular). Traditional plates include the expected teriyaki, tempura, and sukiyaki, but all are well prepared. Refreshing genmai tea is a nice accompaniment to the meal."
